Chocolaca’s success story owed to the hard work and sheer dedication of two sisters Rita and shanta Baliarsingh who have been working diligently to bringing out traditional flavors of odisha into their exquisite chocolates. Their never give up attitude paved the way to their dream of establishment of women enterprise unit “Chocolaca “in the year 2021. Chocolaca is the first manufacturing unit of beans to bar chocolate in odisha which always emphasizes on the use of organic ingredients and no use of chemical additives, artificial colours,flavors and preservatives. The journey of chocolaca traces back to 2016 when Shanta Baliarsingh An eminent psychologist and linguist having specialization in Autism spectrum disorder and Rita Baliarsingh An Educationist and social worker with vast experience of field work established a school for specially abled children “wood apple” .To support the school and to provide vocational training to the students above 18 years they had started chocolates and confectioneries. Chocolaca mainly focuses on Odisha’s millet and infusing and blending it with our chocolates giving it a new twist and taste. Our best products like Ragi cookies, ragi truffle, ragi brownies, ragi cakes, ragi mousse create a huge demand for the same. The new innovative ingredients used in chocolaca chocolates, bars and truffles are chilly flavours, unusual fruits, rare cocoa, florals, a combination of citrus and dried fruits, and others.
